Minnesota Trout Unlimited Regional Fly Fishing Film Contest

This world record muskie, caught on a fly rod on Mille Lacs Lake last year, is featured in one of the movies you'll see at a fundraiser for the nonprofit conservation group  Minnesota Trout Unlimited, Saturday, March 19 at 6 p.m. at Century College's West Campus Theater,  3401 E County Line N., White Bear Lake, MN.

The first annual Minnesota Trout Unlimited Regional Fly Fishing Film Contest and Social will help MNTU continue its mission of restoring, reconnecting and protecting Minnesota trout streams. Together volunteers in the seven Minnesota Trout Unlimited chapters have restored more than 40 miles of trout streams across the state, including three miles of the Vermillion River near Farmington.

Tickets are just $13, and include post-show appetizers. Available online at www.greatwatersflyexpo.com.  The Great Waters Fly Fishing Expo also will be held at the site, Friday through Sunday.  Contacts: Carl Haensel and Jade Thomason, (612) 562-9242, info@greatwatersflyexpo.com.
