Dakota County Veterans Services Resources and Open House

Dakota County Veterans Services will be hosting on 20 November 2015, 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Northern Service Center, 1 Mendota Road West, Suite 420, West Saint Paul, Minnesota, an open house and exhibit of services, benefits and entitlements in partnership with veteran service organization and service providers.

The mission of Veterans Services is to provide professional services for military veterans and their dependents and survivors who are entitled to benefits from the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, the State of Minnesota, and other agencies as applicable.

The Veterans Service Office is is a Dakota County governmental agency established to serve the veteran population of Dakota County, which has the third largest veteran population in the state. The office assists veterans and their dependents and survivors to obtain benefits from the federal, state and local agencies administering programs for veterans, and provides advocacy to the veterans community regarding entitlement rights to federal, state and local benefits programs.

If you are unsure of where to find help, need aid to get started, or are just unsure of your entitled benefits, you can obtain assistance by calling the Veterans Service Office. An accredited Veterans Service Representative will assist you or direct you to the appropriate resource. The Veterans Service Office provides outreach services if veterans, their dependents and survivors cannot come to the office because of a disability.

Representatives from Blue/Gold Star Mothers; Educational institutions, Honor Flight, Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans (MACV); Women Veterans; Beyond the Minnesota National Guard Yellow Ribbon resources; Minneapolis Veterans Administration and Medical Center and so much more.
