Dakota County, city of Eagan remind drivers not to pass on road shoulders

Dakota County and the city of Eagan are working to increase public safety by reminding drivers that passing on the shoulder is not only dangerous for pedestrians and traffic turning onto side roads, but it's illegal.
The week of July 27, temporary signs and traffic barrels will be placed on Cliff Road (County Road 32) east of Lexington Avenue (County Road 43) along the shoulder to educate drivers. Also, police in Eagan are increasing enforcement to advise motorists that passing on shoulders is not safe or legal.
