Dakota-Scott Workforce Investment Board welcomes new member

At its meeting May 5, the Dakota County Board of Commissioners appointed Jennifer Hauschildt, Chief Information Officer for Uponor North America in Apple Valley, to the Dakota-Scott Workforce Investment Board (WIB). Hauschildt will fill a vacancy on the Board representing the private sector. 
Hauschildt has long had a passion for workforce development, particularly in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) disciplines. Her professional experience includes leading organizations and building successful teams with particular emphasis in the areas of technology, global talent, and community relations and diversity. Her background includes currently serving as Board Chair of the Minnesota High Tech Association Foundation. She's also served on the Inver Hills Community College President's Advisory Council and the Dakota County Regional Chamber Board.
"I'm very excited to join the Workforce Investment Board and to bring my passion around workforce development, especially in the STEM fields, to the board and to Dakota and Scott counties," Hauschildt said.  
The Dakota-Scott WIB oversees employment and training programs in Dakota and Scott counties and is a state leader in developing innovative programs administered through WorkForce Centers in Burnsville, Shakopee and West St. Paul.
