Dakota County to host open house reviewing Minnesota Zoo segment of North Creek Regional Greenway

Dakota County will hold an open house from 5–7 p.m. Thursday, June 4, at Dakota County Western Service Center, 14955 Galaxie Ave., Apple Valley, to review the proposed North Creek Regional Greenway — Minnesota Zoo segment. The greenway is a nine-mile corridor that links Eagan, Apple Valley, Lakeville and Farmington.
The purpose of the project is to improve recreational and transportation connectivity, provide safe pedestrian and bicycle connections to and within the Minnesota Zoo, and more.
The open house will provide the public with an opportunity to review updated plans and concept drawings for the trail, the pedestrian bridge crossing over McAndrews Road, and amenities such as drinking fountains and viewing platforms. Staff from Dakota County, the City of Apple Valley and the Minnesota Zoo will be available to discuss the project.
