Programs and Events fro the Pleasant Hill Library

> Here is a rundown of programs and events at the Pleasant Hill Library for the next few weeks. We grouped together the events at the library occuring during Spring Break, in case you are running a spread on activities for kids during the vacation.
>
> March is Tangram Month at the Library
> Area residents are invited to stop by the library any time during the month of March to try a variety of tangram puzzles. A tangram is a flat puzzle with seven pieces that can be moved and rotated to create pictures. Tangrams are a fun way for all ages and abilities to challenge their problem solving and visual spatial skills. Work on tangram puzzles at the library or take home a worksheet to make your own.

> Baby Story Time at the Library
> Children age birth to 2 years old, along with their caregivers, are invited to the Pleasant Hill Library on Monday, March 16, at 10:45 a.m. for a baby story time. Children will sing songs, hear stories, and enjoy playtime activities. The event is free and no registration is required.
>
> Teens Learn about Robotics at the Library
> Teens age 10- 16 years old are invited to the Pleasant Hill Library on Thursday, March 26 at 3 p.m. for a session that will explore the world of Robotics. Teens will meet Sphero, a colorful ball with a tiny wireless robot insides. Teens will also race the robots. The event is free, but registration is required. > Preschool Spring Program at the Library
> Children age 3 to 5 are invited to the Pleasant Hill Library on Friday, March 27 at 11 a.m. for a special program called "S is for Spring." Children will hear springtime stories, sing songs, make crafts and play games during the morning activities. This event is co-sponsored by ECFE. The event is free, but registration is required. > Spring Break Week Activities at the Library

> Make Clay Houses at the Library
> Children age 3 to 12 years old are invited to the Pleasant Hill Library on Monday, March 16 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. for an art class that will teach them how to build colorful clay houses. Children will learn about color mixing and sculpting in the class. The class is free, but registration is required. > Meet A Miniature Horse at the Library
> Children age 3 to 12 years old are invited to the Pleasant Hill Library on Wednesday, March 18 at 10:30 a.m. to meet a real miniature horse. This event will be held indoors in the library meeting room. Children will also hear a few favorite horse stories. The event is free, and no registration is required.

> Learn About Bees at the Library
> Area residents are invited to the Pleasant Hill Library on Wednesday, March 18 at 5 p.m. to listen to a presentation from the University of Minnesota Bee Squad. The Bee Squad will share how people may create bee-friendly environments in their own backyards. The event is free, and no registration is required.
>
> Go On a Scavenger Hunt at the Library
> Children age 5 to 12 years old are invited to the Pleasant Hill Library on Thursday, March 19 at 1:30 p.m. to participate in a library scavenger hunt. Children will be given clues to test their knowledge of the library. The event is free, and no registration is required.
