Dakota County invites public to review County Road 42 Bikeway/Walkway Connection Project at open house

Dakota County will host an open house later this month to allow the public to review the purpose and need, preliminary design, and related impacts of implementing bicycle and pedestrian improvements along County Road 42. The open house is planned for 5:30–8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 22 at SouthCross Community Church, 1800 County Road 42 E., Burnsville.

Dakota County has attained $2.9 million in federal funds to design and construct the County Road 42 Bikeway/Walkway Connection Project, which will remove travel barriers such as I-35E and make trail connections to create more opportunities for county residents to walk and bike for both transportation and recreation.
