It’s time to mark your calendars for Hampton’s Community Days 2014

It's time to mark your calendars for Hampton's Community Days 2014 which is scheduled for June 20th, 21st and 22nd and is fast approaching! The planning committee is again looking for additional sponsors, vendors and volunteers who have some great ideas to make the weekend fun filled for all.

Hampton Community Days is a weekend to help celebrate our great community and all of the residents who live and work here.

Hampton Community Days was first held in 2004. Traditionally, Friday is a Family Night. Bring a lawn chair and blanket, and watch a movie on a big screen in the park, with free popcorn and party favors for everyone.

Saturday, a kids parade with local vendors, artists, kids games and activities could fill the day. One recommendation is to have the Hampton/Randolph Fire Department hold a burger fundraiser with a live band in the evening for all to enjoy and help support our local heroes.

Sunday, to close the weekend, the Hampton Cardinals baseball game could highlight the event during the afternoon. Bring your lawn chairs, friends and cheer loud! A youth game prior would be fun, for this year.

All these plans are tentative and are subject to change. Please feel free to comment or message the planning committee at: hamptonnews@embarqmail.com with any ideas or if you are willing to volunteer to help plan, or sponsor a portion of the event.

Thanks! Bring on Summer!
