Dakota County appoints human resources professional to Workforce Investment Board

At its meeting June 4, the Dakota County Board of Commissioners appointed Pam Oeffler, manager of Compensation, Benefits and HRMS at Smead Manufacturing Company in Hastings, to the Dakota-Scott Workforce Investment Board.
 
Oeffler will fill a vacancy on the Board representing large business in the private sector. She has more than 20 years of experience in human resources including 11 years working for multi-state consumer goods manufacturing companies and membership in various human resource associations and boards.
 
The Dakota-Scott Workforce Investment Board oversees employment and training programs in Dakota and Scott counties and is a state leader in developing innovative programs administered through WorkForce Centers in Burnsville, Shakopee and West St. Paul.
