Upcoming Events at the Pleasant Hill Library

Free Resume Writing Class at the Library
     Creating an effective resume is more important than ever during tough economic times. Learn how to use a resume to show a potential employer your value. Topics covered include formatting, styles, common mistakes, do's and don'ts, and more. The class will be taught by Dakota County Workforce Center staff on Friday, May 24th, 2-3:30pm, at the Pleasant Hill Library. Frog Themed Program for 3 to 5 Year Olds at the Library
     Children age 3 to 5 years old are invited to the Pleasant Hill Library on Friday, May 10 at 11 a.m. for a program called "F is for Frogs".  This program is a part of the Book Adventure Series with ISD 200.  Children will have fun with frog-themed stories, songs, and crafts.  There is no charge for the program, however, registration is required.  To register, call the library at 651-438-0200, or visit the library website at
Bluegrass Music at the Library
     Area residents are invited to the Pleasant Hill Library on Tuesday, May 21 at 1 p.m. for an afternoon of listening to a performance of live bluegrass music.  The Alzen family will deliver a wide variety of family-oriented bluegrass, gospel bluegrass and old-time music and hymns with four-part vocal harmonies.  Light refreshments will be served.  This event is part of the Dakota County Library Silver Tea Series, and is also a Minnesota Legacy Program.  There is no charge for the concert, and no registration is required.
