Get first dibs: Dakota County parks open reservations for picnic shelters.

Get first dibs on a Dakota County picnic shelter in 2013. Reservations for outdoor events open on Monday, Jan. 14 for the upcoming season.
Dakota County's park shelters offer lots of room for outdoor activities and views of scenic lakeshores, river bluffs, natural woodlands or large open spaces making them great locations for weddings, graduation parties, family reunions, group picnics and more.
Dakota County has shelters at Spring Lake Park Reserve near Hastings and Rosemount; Lake Byllesby Regional Park (adjacent to the Lake Byllesby Campground) near Cannon Falls; Lebanon Hills Regional Park in Eagan; Thompson County Park in West St. Paul; and Miesville Ravine Park Reserve near Miesville. Each shelter has picnic tables and grills. Other amenities vary by location. All shelters are equipped for people with special needs.
