Used Books for Sale at the Library
      The Friends of the Pleasant Hill Library continue to sell used books in the lobby area of the library.  People may buy a bag of books for $2 per bag.  A wide range of books, dvd's and assorted material is still available following the summer book sale.  Books will be sold for several more weeks and is replenished daily. 
ECFE Preschool Program at the Library

          Children age 3 to 5 years old are invited to the Pleasant Hill Library on Friday, September 28 at 11 a.m. for a story time and activity morning called "A is for Apple."  Children will have fun with fall-themed stories, songs, and crafts as a part of the Book Adventure Series with ISD 200.  There is no charge for the program, however, registration is required.  Call the library at 651-438-0200 or visit the library website at www.dakotacounty.us/library

Free Resume Writing  Class at the Library

     Adults interested in brushing up their resumes are invited to the Pleasant Hill Library on Friday, September 28 at 2 p.m. for a free workshop titled Resume Rescue.  This class will teach people how to create an effective resume.  Students will learn how to use a resume to show potential employers your value.  Topics covered include formatting, styles, common mistakes, dos and don'ts, and more. This class is taught by the Dakota County WorkForce Center Staff.  There is no charge for the program, but registration is required.  To register, call the library at 651-438-0200 or visit the library website atwww.dakotacounty.us/library

Seniors Invited to the Library to Learn about Reforms in Medicare

      Area seniors are invited to the Pleasant Hill Library on Monday, September 17 at 6 p.m., for a question/answer session on the new Medicare Program.  Attendees will learn about the changes to Medicare, reforms in the Affordable Care Act, and how to address the donut hole.  People will get help making personal comparisons using the medicare.gov website and the Health Care Choices book with Senior LinkAge Line.  There is no charge for the event, and registration is not required.
