MN Shutdown

At this time, negotiations are continuing over how to resolve the budget deficit. It goes without saying that a shutdown of our state's government would hurt many people. A shutdown benefits nobody and hurts everybody. More importantly, it is completely avoidable and unnecessary. IF there is a shutdown - it hurts everybody. Businesses, workers, most importantly the reputation of our state. There are many areas of the budget that we have reached agreement on. The Governor should call a special session so we can pass those items. I don't think it is right to hold these bills hostage for leverage to raise taxes. Here is a Pioneer Press editorial that says it better than I can. - Rep. Pat Garofalo Click Here---> Unnecessary Pain.
