Request Announcement of Event

Mar 27, Sunday, 6 p.m., Free Chicken and Rib Buffet at The Point Restaurant, Hwy. 61 & 10, for Hastings deployed families and those currently pending deployment. We would like to extend an invitation to you and your family. This is limited to 190 service and family members; therefore reservations must be made no later than March 20, to Dean Markuson, deanrvnvet@aol.com. On behalf of the Hastings community, we admire your courage in face of this difficult experience and express our deep gratitude and commitment to support you and your family. This will be a great evening of camaraderie withfriendly fellowship. Also for your information, 163 soldiers from Hastings have been alerted for deployment, but it does not necessary mean that they will deploy.

Dear Soldiers and Family Members;

On behalf of the Hastings community, we admire you for your courage in face of this difficult experience and upcoming deployment. As the Mayor of Hastings, let me express our community's deep gratitude and commitment to support you and your family. We would like to extend an invitation to you and your family for a FREE Chicken and Rib Buffet dinner, on March 27th, 6 p.m., at The Point Restaurant, located at Hwy  61 & Hwy 10.  This is limited to 190 service and family members.  Therefore, reservations must be made no later than March 20th, to Dean Markuson. To make a reservation please email Dean at: deanrvnvet@aol.com. As a part of Hastings participation in "Beyond The Yellow Ribbon" program, it is our focus to bring citizenship and an understanding of the current issues veterans and families face. It is our goal to bring justice and healing with unity of all our conflict veterans and integrate them successfully back into our community. Throughout your deployment, the Hastings community is willing and ready to assist service members and their families in meeting the many challenges deployment brings. Our Community BYR Initiative Leader, Dean Markuson is willing and eager to arrange volunteer services. Please contact him at the above email address for any assistance you may require. We feel the same sense of pride in assisting you and your family as you do serving this nation. In conclusion, the Community of Hastings salutes and honors you in your upcoming deployment. Our community, state, and nation are safer because of the sacrifices that you are about to take. This will never be forgotten.
