Free Adult Computer Class Offered at the Library in March
    The Pleasant Hill Library is offering a free adult computer class on Internet Basics on Thursday, March 10.  The class is scheduled from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
    In this class, you will learn about web browsers – and how to navigate one.  Learn how to locate things on the Internet  using a search engine, a website URL address and the toolbar.  Registration is required due to space limitations, and is limited to 10.  Register by calling the library at 651-438-0200 or register online at www.dakotacounty.us/library and click on "Calendar of Events".

Library Offers Unique Reading Opportunity For Children—Read to a Dog
    There aren't many things that beat reading to man's best friend. Bring your kids into the library to read to certified therapy dogs. It's not only fun, but it also helps develop reading skills and fluency. This event is scheduled for Saturday, March 12 from 10:30 a.m to 11:30 p.m.  Children will take turns throughout the morning reading to the pooch.
    This program is geared for children age 5 to 10 years old.  There is no registration for the event, nor is there any cost to attend.  For more information, call the library at 651-438-0200.
                                                             
Peek-a-Boo!-Here's to Seeing You Babies at Library Story Time
    Babies age newborn to 24 months and their caregivers are invited to story times at the Pleasant Hill Library on Monday, March 14 at 10:15 a.m. for a morning of fun-filled activities and stories
     Babies will enjoy a morning of books, singing, movement and fun  Babies will listen to stories about hide and seek, Peek-a-Who, and Where's Spot.  There will also be plenty of songs and other fun activities. There is no charge for story time, and no registration is required.  

It's Lego Time at the Library
   Children age two to twelve are invited to the Pleasant Hill Library on Tuesday, March 15 anytime between 10:30 a.m. and Noon for a morning filled with Legos and fun.  Parents are encouraged to bring their children to the library for a morning filled with imagination and exploring by using everyone's favorite building toy--Legos.  Children will be able to see how many creative things they can build using Legos. There is no charge for the event, and no registration is required.  Children and their parents may come and go anytime during the morning event.  For more information, call the library at 651-438-0200.
                                      
Do We Have a B I N G O?
    Children age four to twelve are invited to the Pleasant Hill Library on Wednesday, March 16 at 10:30 a.m. for a fun morning of Bingo games.  Prizes such as gently used books will be awarded to the winners of each Bingo game.  There is no registration for the free event. 

Learn About the Wonderful World of Sharks at the Library
    Children age four to twelve are invited to the Pleasant Hill Library on Thursday, March 17  at 10:30 a.m. for a fun, exciting and educational morning filled with shark stuff.  Kids will get a hands-on learning experience seeing and touching shark artifacts from the ocean.  A shark expert and his funny sidekick Snappy the Shark will teach kids about the world of sharks using models, posters, and real shark jaws.  Children will also be able to see sharks in specimen bottles. There is no registration required for this event, and there is no charge to attend.  For more information, call the library at 651-438-0200.

Design and Sew Your Own Monster at the Pleasant Hill Library
    Children age six to ten years old are invited to the Pleasant Hill Library on Thursday, March 17 from 1 to 3 p.m. for an afternoon of hands on Monster Mashing.  Children will be able to design and sew their own stuffed monster, creature, or make-believe animal.  Whether he has snaggly teeth and striped horns, or she looks sweet and wacky, we will have a managerie of unique beasts by the time the afternoon is over.  All material will be provided by the library. This event is a Textile Center workshop for National Craft Month and Youth in Art Month.  Monster Mash is also a Minnesota Legacy Program. There is no charge for the event, however, registration is required.  Those interested in attending may stop in the library to register, or register on line at the Dakota County Library website.
                                                                    
Art Attack! Is Back at the Library
    Children of all ages are invited to the Pleasant Hill Library on Friday, March 18 for a day of some serious Arts and Crafts!  Art Attack! begins at 10:30 a.m. and lasts until 4 p.m.  There is no charge for the event, and registration is not required.
    Children may stop by anytime throughout the day, and stay as long as they wish.  There will be plenty of ideas and art supplies available for children to create their crafty masterpieces.  The library will supply the materials, children supply the imagination and creativity. For more information, call the Pleasant Hill Library at 651-438-0200.
