Chocolate Chip Cookie contest at the Dakota County Libraries

Calling all cookie bakers – the library is hosting a chocolate chip cookie baking contest! The Robert Trail and Pleasant Hill branches of the Dakota County Libraries are holding a cookie baking contest for bakers of all ages. There will be 3 categories, children, teens (12 to 18) and adults.

People interested in participating can pick up application forms at the libraries with the rules and information. Contestants will deliver cookies they have made to the library between 5 and 6 the evening of the competition. Judges will start judging promptly at 6 pm so we need all the entries in by then. After the judging the winners will be announced and then there will be a cookie and milk social for the contestants, their friends and families, and the community. Store bought cookies and milk will be provided.

Contestants are encouraged to bring in their family favorite chocolate chip cookies or invent a new one to “wow” the judges. Remember, the library has many great cookie cookbooks available to checkout.

The contest dates are Monday April 25th at Pleasant Hill Library in Hastings and Thursday April 28th at Robert Trail Library in Rosemount. Thank you to Emily’s Bakery in Hastings for providing a prize for the winners in each of the age categories. For more information please contact the Robert Trail Library 651-480-1200 or the Pleasant Hill Library 651-438-0200.
