Pleasant Hill Library Events for March

Lego-Mania Hits the Library
Time to get that Lego imagination and Duplo creativity in gear for the next “Lego Day at the Library.” The event is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 15th. The Lego-Mania event is free and open to children of all ages.
Representatives from the Mall of America Lego Imagination Center will be on hand with oodles of Legos, armloads of Duplos and plenty of ideas for the children. Children are free to come and go as they wish. There is no registration required for the event.

Come to the Library to Meet Dazzling, Dave--a National Yo-Yo Master
On Tuesday, March 16th, from 10:30 a.m., Dazzling Dave, the Yo-Yo Master, will perform at the Pleasant Hill Library. Dazzling Dave will enthrall the audience with his “walk the dog” and “around the world” and other tricks of the yo-yo trade.
Dave will also teach the audience a number of yo-yo tricks and tips for young yo-yo-ers in training. This event is geared for children of all ages. There is no charge for the event, and no registration is required.

Hey Kids! It’s Back—Art Attack! at the Library
Calling all you creative leprechauns! Plan now to spend part of your St. Patrick’s Day at the Pleasant Hill Library for the ever popular Art Attack! The theme for this month’s Art Attack is “It’s Not Easy Being Green.”
Art Attack! is scheduled from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 17th. The Children’s staff will have a number of suggested art projects and ideas for the children. All supplies are provided by the library.
This event is free, and no registration is required. Children may come and go throughout the day, as their schedule permits.

Learn about Nocturnal Animals During Bedtime Story Time at the Library
Children of all ages and their families are invited to a special bedtime story time at the Pleasant Hill Library featuring Nocturnal Animals. Bedtime story time is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 18th. Children will hear stories of nighttime critters and make a craft of the sleepy animals. Children are invited to wear their jammies to story time and bring a blanket or a favorite stuffed animal. There is no charge for bedtime story time, and no registration is required.

Traditional Celtic Music comes to Hastings Library
It’s time to celebrate your Irish heritage! Bring the family to Pleasant Hill Library on Saturday, March 20 at 2 p.m. for a free program of Irish music. Andrea Stern and Laura MacKenzie combine Celtic harp and wind instruments to present traditional Scottish and Irish songs and dance tunes. All ages are welcome!

Celtic winds and strings come alive in Willow Brae, the duo that combines Celtic harp, wooden flutes, whistles, concertina, bagpipes, and voice. Willow Brae weaves delightful Irish folktales, stories, and songs created by their unique combination of Celtic harp and wind instruments. Traditional Scottish and Irish songs and dance tunes uplift, transport and charm audiences of all ages. Learn about Irish culture, history and lore through traditional Celtic songs. The whole family will enjoy this Minnesota Mosaic Program.

This presentation is part of Dakota County Library’s annual Minnesota Mosaic cultural arts series.
