Northbound Highway 3 closing in Farmington June 24-27

Motorists will encounter delays and a detour on Highway 3 between Highway 50 and  just south of 213th/Main Street in Farmington beginning Friday, June 24.

Beginning at 10 p.m. Friday, June 24, northbound Highway 3 will be closed between Highway 50 and just south of 213/Main Street as crews install pipe beneath the road.

Motorists should follow the signed detour using Highway 50, Pilot Knob Road and 195th Street in order to bypass the closure.

The road is expected to be reopened to a single lane in each direction between Highway 50 and Main Street by 5 a.m. Monday, June 27.

The construction will provide a smoother road surface, extend the life of the pavement, close or modify access to Highway 3, improve drainage and update pedestrian crossings to meet modern ADA requirements.
