COMMISSIONER DOHMAN APPOINTS LYNETTE M. RENNER TO MINNESOTA CRIME VICTIMS REPARATIONS BOARD

Department of Public Safety Commissioner Mona Dohman has appointed Lynette M. Renner to the Minnesota Crime Victims Reparations Board.  Renner is appointed to a term that expires Jan. 6, 2020.  Renner replaces member Robert Goodell.

Renner works as an Associate Professor at the University of Minnesota's School of Social Work and has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Mary in North Dakota, a Master of Social Work from the University of Kentucky College of Social Work, and a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Social Work.

The Minnesota Crime Victims Reparations Board provides compensation to victims of violent crime and their families. The board was established in 1974 in response to increased public concern for victims of violent crime. Since its inception, the program has eased the financial burdens of thousands of innocent crime victims. The Reparations Board is a unit of the Office of Justice Programs, a division of the Minnesota Department of Public Safety.
