Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Community Event in Hastings on October 8, 2015

A community event has been planned at Nelson Lucking American Legion Post 47 in the City of Hastings for
October 8, 2015, at 7:00 p.m. The event has been planned by the Hastings Chapter of Beyond the Yellow Ribbon to
welcome our war veterans home, at the same time discussing quality readjustment services that are available.

Topics that will be discussed include trauma counseling, leadership, special populations, management, wellness,
networking, and transitional assistance. There is an impressive and powerful line-up of panel members and
presentations, after which there will be opportunities for interaction between the veterans and presenters. Veterans
will be given resources for various therapeutic groups concerning a variety of topics, some of which include Vietnam
veterans, quality of life, combat trauma, positive ends, partner support, and wellness and recreation.

Our veterans are affected by their experiences in numerous and varying ways. Beyond the Yellow Ribbon is
proud to partner with the City of Hastings to host this event as a means of offering support to those who have served
our country.

The entire community is invited to this event to welcome and honor our veterans for their service. It is
anticipated there will be representatives from the First Judicial District; Hastings Police Chief Bryan Schafer, Dakota
County Sheriff Tim Leslie, and other local law enforcement personnel; Veterans Services Officers, Social Services; the
Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Community; military; veterans; families; and the general public.

No RSVP's are required, but your presence and support to our veterans would be greatly appreciated.
