WorkForce Centers offer creative job search advice to job seekers

f you've lost your job, want to change careers, or are a new job seeker, the "Creative Job Search" guide and workshops offered through your local WorkForce Center can help you plan and launch a successful employment search.

The on-site workshops cover the basics of a successful job search, including interviewing techniques, effective resume strategies, networking and more.

The guidebook includes topics on career planning, identifying your skills, preparing applications, resumes, and cover letters, preparing for the job hunt, finishing touches and much more. The guide can be viewed online; print copies are also available for sale. Workshops are free and open to the public. Registration is required.

For more information, contact your local WorkForce Center or visit www.mn.gov/deed and search creative job search guide. For workshop information and a schedule of events, search workshops and training.

The Minnesota WorkForce Centers of Dakota and Scott counties work in collaboration with key partners to make sure that area job seekers find employment and training and area employers find the skilled workers they need.
