Information from the Pleasant Hill Library

Craft Fair at the Library
Register Now for the Craft Fair at the Library Area children age 4-16 are invited to register now until July 23rd, to sell their handmade crafts at the Pleasant Hill Library Craft Fair.  The craft fair is scheduled for Thursday, July 30, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The craft fair will be held outside the library entrance.  In case of rain, it will be held inside the library.  All items for sale must be priced from one penny to $2.00.  Crafters should plan to bring their own table, money to make change, and signage.  Registration forms for the craft sale may be picked up at the Pleasant Hill Library.  For more information, call the library at 651-438-0200.

Plant Health Care Diagnostic Clinic at the Library Thursday, July 16, 2015
6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Bring your gardening questions or samples of weeds, fruits, vegetables, trees, shrubs, turf or insects to one of these diagnostic clinics and let a Dakota County Master Gardener provide identification and recommendations.  Free.  No registration.

Celebrate books, reading and your imagination through songs, stories and music on the guitar, 5-string banjo, fiddle, jawharp, and limberjack, and even an amplified toy box lid.  Free.  No registration.

Patterns of Life--Native American Bead Art at the Library Monday, July 20, 2015

Get an introduction to the art of beading with Julie Boada of the Fond du Lac Nation and create your own beaded bookmarks or pouch using patterns and colors that reflect tribal and family affiliations.  Presented by ArtStart.  Free.  Registration is required.  Call the library after July 6th to register.

Make and Take:  LED Throwies at the Library Wednesday, July 22, 2015
2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Combine an LED, a coin battery, and a magnet to make a small magnetic light called an LED Throwie.  Learn why it works and create a group light display before taking your throwies home.  Ages 9 to 14.  Free.  Registration is required.  Call the library after July 8th to register.

Story Time in the Park

Zentangles at the Library

Learn to create beautiful patterns using pen and ink.  Embellish with watercolor or brightly colored pens.  Each creation is on-of-a kind.  Presented by Eagan Art House.  Ages 8-12.  Registration is required.  Call the library after July 15th to register.
