Dakota County Farmington Library Calendar Events for August 3 - August 15

Tuesday, August 4
Farmington Library Afternoon Book Group
Held the first Tuesday of each month. Members will discuss the novel Me Before You by Jojo Moyes in August.
12:30-1:30 p.m.

Rube Goldberg Marble Machine
Design and make your own marble machine using a variety of tubes, paper, tape, glue, wire and other unusual scraps-add marbles and watch them roll. Presented by ArtStart. Registration required. Ages: 10–16.
2:00-4:00 pm

Bedtime Storytime
Enjoy stories, songs, fingerplays and a craft about going to bed. Ages: 0–6.
7:00-7:30 pm

Wednesday, August 5
Open Knitting
Join other knitters in a casual focus group. Learn new stitches, get help with unfinished projects, or just enjoy new friends while you knit. Other crafters are welcome too.
1:30-2:30 pm

Monday, August 10
Teen-Led Book Group
Join members of the Teen Advisory Group for a teen-led discussion of books and reading. This month's selection is Steelheart by Brandon Sanderson. Ages: 12-18.
6:00-7:00 pm

Teen Advisory Group
Get involved. Recommend books and music, help plan Library programs and participate in community events and service projects. Ages: 12–18.
7:00-8:00 pm

Tuesday, August 11
Classic Movies
Watch an award-winning, classic movie from each decade, beginning with a 1920's silent film and ending with a 1970's hipster. The fourth selection will be The Leopard. Popcorn included.

Wednesday, August 12
Storytime in the Park
Join us at Evergreen Knoll Park, 626 Heritage Way, Farmington for stories, games and crafts in the park. Presented in part by the City of Farmington Parks & Recreation. Ages: 0-10.
10:30-11:30 am

Music for Creative Growth
