Events at the Pleasant Hill Library-Summer Reading Program starts soon!

Learn Email Basics for Building Job Skills at the Library
Email has become the typical method for business communication, including applying for employment. In this class, you will learn how to set up a free email account, send and receive messages and add attachments. Previous computer experience is required. This class will be taught by an instructor from the Science Museum of Minnesota at the Pleasant Hill Library on Monday, June 16th, 6-8 pm. Learn Interviewing Skills at the Library
Area adults are invited to the Pleasant Hill Library on Friday, June 13 for a class that will teach job interviewing skills. The class begins at 2 p.m. Class members will learn how to be more confident along with strategies to make you stand out from the crowd. Topics covered include types of interviews, common interview questions, and major blunders to avoid. This class is taught by Dakota County WorkForce Center staff. Learn about Sharks at the Library
Children age 4 to 10 years old are invited to the Pleasant Hill Library on Thursday, June 12 at 10:30 a.m. for a special presentation about sharks. Children will learn about the exciting world of sharks and see and touch real shark tags and teethe. There is no charge for the program, and registration is not required.

Adults Learn about Yoga and Art at the Library
Area adults are invited to the Pleasant Hill Library on Tuesday, June 17 at 6 p.m. for a special class combining Yoga with Art. Participants will work with artist Robin Getsug to explore creativity through yoga and art. They will establish a sense of tranquility through yoga and use a variety of materials to create a journal to reflect each day through writing or drawing. This class is presented by Artstart. There is no charge for the event, but registration is required. Dazzling Dave the Yo-Yo Man Visits the Library
Children of all ages are invited to the Pleasant Hill Library on Monday, June 16 at 10:30 a.m. for a special program featuring Dazzling Dave, the Yo-Yo man. Dazzling Dave uses hi-tech yo-yos and amazing tricks to teach about one of the world's oldest and coolest toys—the Yo-Yo. There is no charge for the event, and no registration is required.

Children Create Duct Tape Art at the Library
Children age 10 to 16 are invited to the Pleasant Hill Library on Thursday, June 19 at 2 p.m. to make a project using duct tape. The program is called "Art Goes Quackers." Children will design a pouch, a wallet, a wrist cuff, ring or bracelet using a variety of colors of duct tape. This class is presented by ArtStart. There is no charge for the event, but registration is required.
