The Recycling Zone in Dakota County helps residents see green this spring

Spring cleaning has commenced, so spring cleaners rejoice! You have a convenient and free place to drop off many of the unnecessary items cluttering up your once usable garage — the old lawnmower, the broken snow blower, the dead car battery. The list goes on and on.

The Recycling Zone in Dakota County accepts recyclables, electronics and household hazardous waste at no cost to you. Everything from unwanted lawn and garden products to used oil and oil filters can be brought to the facility at 3365 Dodd Road, Eagan, during the following open hours:

·         9 a.m.–8 p.m. Wednesday

·         Noon–8 p.m. Thursday

·         9 a.m.–5 p.m. Friday

·         8 a.m.–5 p.m. Saturday

For more information about accepted items, visit www.dakotacounty.us and search Recycling Zone.
