Event notices from the Pleasant Hill Library

Adults Invited to the Library to Learn the Art of Drawing Zentangle

     Area adults are invited to the Pleasant Hill Library on Monday, January 6, at 5:30 p.m. for a class highlighting the art of drawing Zentangle.  The Zentangle Method is an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns.  This drawing skill is said to increase focus and creativity and provide artistic satisfaction.   The class will be taught by local artistVictoria Welch.  There is no charge for the class, however, registration is required.  To register, call the library at 651-438-0200 or visit the library website at www.dakotacounty.us/library.   

                                                                                            

F Scott Fitzgerald Expert Speaks at Library

     Author and Fitzgerald expert Dave Page will speak at the Pleasant Hill Library on Tuesday, January 7 at 6:30 p.m.  He will talk about his latest book, The Thoughtbook of F. Scott Fitzgerald.  This program is sponsored by the Dakota County Library and the Hastings/Prescott Arts Council.  There is no charge for the event, and no registration is required. 

                                                                                  

Children Invited to the Library to Learn About Circuits

     Children age 6 to 12 years old are invited to the Pleasant Hill Library on Monday, January 13 at 3:30 p.m. to learn about super circuits.  Children will explore the world of circuits with The Works Museum in this shockingly fun workshop.  They will build their own motor powered fan and examine and wire their own circuits.  There is no charge for the event, but registration is required.  To register, call the library at 651-438-0200 or visit the library website at www.dakotacounty.us/library
