News from the Pleasant Hill Library

Children Invited to Insect Program at the Library

     Area children age 3 to 5 years old are invited to the Pleasant Hill Library on Friday, November 22 at 11 a.m. for a buggy program, called "I" is for Insects.  Children will enjoy buggy stories, crafts, games and activities.  This is a Book Adventure Program in partnership with ISD 200 ECFC.  There is no charge for the event, however, registration is required.  To register, call the library at 651-438-0200, or visit the library website at www.dakotacounty.us/library.


Children Invited to Watch Movies at the Library

     Children age 2 to 6 years old are invited to the Pleasant Hill Library on Wednesday, November 27 at 10:30 a.m. to enjoy a selection of fun children's books in movie format.  The movies will all be about Food.  Movies include; Inch by Inch, The Seven Silly Eaters, Bear Wants More and

Stone Soup.  There is no charge for the program, and no registration is required. 


 Children Invited to Art Class at the Library

     Children age 6 to 14 are invited to the Pleasant Hill Library on Tuesday, December 3 at 3:30 p.m. to participate in a hands-on art class, called Penguins with Abrakadoodle.  Children will draw a penguin and use oil pastel and watercolor techniques to bring it to life.  A professional artist will teach the class.  There is no cost for the event, but registration is required.  To register, call the library at 651-438-0200 or visit the library website at
