Kids Sewing for Kids

Members of the Top Notchers 4-H Club in Vermillion held a sewing workshop recently to practice basic machine sewing techniques. During the afternoon workshop, the nonprofit group also constructed 18 sets of fleece mittens and hats for children who come to the Hastings-based Robert Lewis House.  Since opening it's doors in 1979, more than 65,000 survivors of domestic abuse have benefitted from the safety, support, and advocacy services provided to over 2,000 women and children each year.
