Activities at the Library During Spring Break

Spring Break Programs and Events at the Pleasant Hill Library
The Pleasant Hill Library will host a number of programs and events during Hastings' Spring Break Week for children of all ages.  There is no charge for any of the events, and no registration is required. 
     
     Legos and Duplos at the Library
                Tuesday, March 12 at 10:30 a.m.  Children age 2 to 12 years old are invited to the library to let their imaginations go wild as they create fun and interesting forms using Legos and Duplos.  This event will last about one hour. 
 
     Story Time for all Ages
                Wednesday, March 13 at 10:30 a.m.  Children age birth to six years old are invited to the library to hear stories about snakes, in celebration of the Chinese New Year.  At the end of story time, children will be invited to make a craft project. 
 
     Pirates Ahoy!
                Thursday, March 14 at 10:30 a.m.  Come listen to the Story Man from England as he tells his swashbuckling stories that encourages children to take on fun roles and to find a story book treasure.  This program is geared for children of all ages.  This event lasts about one hour.  This is a Minnesota Legacy Program.
 
     Book Bingo
                Friday, March 15 at 10:30 a.m.  Children of all ages are invited to the library for a fun-filled morning of everyone's favorite game—BINGO!  Children will play the game for prizes, including gently used books. 
 
     Learn About Female Air Force Pilots During WWII at the Library
                Monday, March 18th at 1 p.m. Young and not-so-young adults are invited to come to the library to to learn about women pilot's lives during World War II. Through a live performance by the Minnesota History Center Players, the audience will learn about a woman's childhood living through the Great Depression; the bombing of Pearl Harbor and its national impact; the changing roles of women during WWII; and what life was like as a Woman Air Force Service Pilot.  The audience will be able to ask questions and talk with a historical character.  This is a Minnesota Legacy Program.  There is no charge for the event, and no registration is required.  For more information, call the Pleasant Hill Library at 651-438-0200. For more information about any of the programs at the library during Spring Break, call 651-438-0200.
