Jump to it: Dakota-Scott WorkForce Center offers job seeker conference Jan. 24.

The hustle and bustle of the holiday season is a thing of the past and now is the time to focus on getting that next job.  Re-energize your job search at January Jump Start, an award-winning one-day conference for job seekers Thursday, Jan. 24 from 8 a.m.–3 p.m. at the Dakota County Northern Service Center, 1 Mendota Road W., in West St. Paul.
 
The event, hosted by the Dakota-Scott WorkForce Centers, will feature keynote speaker Stevie Ray, of Stevie Ray's Improv Company.  Ray, back by popular demand, will present "How to Think on the Spot" with tips and advice anyone can use to calm their nerves during the interview process.
 
Workshops will be offered on a variety of topics, including interview preparation, using Linked-In, job searching for mature workers, stress management and more.
