Randolph Elementary School’s Food Drive was the B-E-S-T!

The Elementary Food Drive took place within the Randolph Public School’s elementary classrooms December 1-12th. A grand total of 3,265 items were collected! (To compare—last year we took in 2,880 items, 2 years ago 2,820 items and 3 years ago 1,700 items.) This year was the BEST! Thank you to the entire community for being so VERY generous! It took 4 pick-up trucks to handle all the goods which included food, detergent, personal items, and cleaning supplies. All items donated went to the Randolph Food Shelf located in St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. The classroom winners were: 1st Place: Mrs. Kay Willenbring’s 3rd Graders who brought in 490 items. 2nd Place: Mr.Aaron Soule’s 5th Grade class who brought in 454 items and 3rd Place: Mrs. Donna Lindahl’s 3rd & 4th Combo Class who brought in 408 items. Colleen Thompson, Director of the Food Shelf, said, “We got such a nice variety of items! A big thank you to everyone who helped make this drive so very successful!” Students who were responsible for collecting and counting were Ms. Johnson’s Junior/Senior Project Class (pictured above).
