In Our Own Voice: Living with Mental Illness, Oct. 3

> In Our Own Voice: Living With Mental Illness Stories of Hope and Recovery, Farmington Library, Oct. 3

> On Mon., Oct. 3, from 6:30-7:30 p.m., at the Dakota County Farmington Library, representatives from the Minnesota chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) will present, "In Our Own Voice." This is a unique public education program in which speakers share compelling personal stories about living with mental illness and achieving recovery. "In Your Own Voice" reaches out to the general public, students, law enforcement officials, educators, health care providers, and faith community members. The presentation offers hope and provides insight into recovery for individuals and families affected by mental illness. NAMI's 2011 Mental Illness Awareness Week is October 2-8. This year's theme is "Change Attitudes, Changing Lives."
