Building a better Burnhaven

Dakota County's Burnhaven Library to close for remodeling

The Burnhaven Library in Burnsville will close temporarily for remodeling from Sept. 18 at 5:30 pm until late April 2011. The book drop will also be closed. During the closing residents can visit any of the County's other library locations. For hours and locations, and information on picking up hold requests, visit www.dakotacounty.us/library. Materials can be returned to any Dakota County library.

The remodeled library will include a computer lab, license center, a redesigned front entry, a new meeting room, energy-saving upgrades and improvements to the areas for teens and children.

Following the remodeling, the Burnsville License Center, now at 284 E. Travelers Trail, will move into the Burnhaven Library, 1101 W. County Road 42. When the license center opens in its new location, it will continue to offer services such as birth certificates, death certificates, driver's license renewal, title transfer, vehicle registration and more. A complete list of services is available at www.dakotacounty.us, search Burnsville License Center, or call 952-891-7850.
