St. John the Baptist School in Vermillion receives three new interactive white boards.

St. John the Baptist Catholic Elementary School students thank school volunteers Earl Wagner and Andy Storkamp for installing three new Smartboards in several classrooms. The boards and projectors were given to the school through a donation from Catholic Aid Association and a grant from 3M Corporation.

Learning at all levels is taking place with the new boards. The kindergarteners are using the interactive white boards to complete math games, as well as read and spell new words. Second graders use the new learning tool for Daily Oral Language exercises, Google Earth activities, composing emails to a class pen pal, and reviewing recent pictures taken by Paster Fr. Stan Mader in the Holy Land. Fourth graders recently used their board to administer a quiz called Life on the Moon during the school’s Family Science Night event.
